As the skin grows back together following the deepest gash, so does the psyche.

The truth is that no matter what the nature of the challenge being faced is- be it yesterday, today, or what is anticipated  for the future- is that it cannot challenge our inner core strength: our inner worth. While sometimes it may feel as though life and all it brings, may be doing exactly that, our core strengths are always present within. Within that strength, exists an inherent wisdom. It may become difficult to access amidst the distractions, chaos, suffering or struggles, but you have the power to overcome. The wisdom will always guide you to a decision, a healing, a clarity, a balance. This place is always there to find our way back to.

My approach to therapy and to my clients stems from my view that we are all together in this wild ride otherwise known as life- Trying to find meaning, purpose, strength and the ability to deal with everything it hands us. I believe we are all created equal, and that the struggles, challenges and joys and successes we face do not define us. All experiences, no matter how pleasant or unpleasant, have something to teach us, something to be gained through. Sometimes, it might feel like our struggles take away a part of ourselves, often a part that was cherished, or that difficulties faced may threaten to weaken us. We may easily judge ourselves. Or judge others. Maybe act in a way we do not feel represents our true selves, or struggle to deal with the actions or behaviors of others.

Together, we will find your way back to yourself, and access the power to move you forward.

"When I started seeing Joannah, my bulimia was out of control and I spent my days thinking about food, planning binges, and generally obsessing about my body and weight. Working with her in private and group sessions was the turning point for my recovery, which is an ongoing process...."
